Saison Floue explores the seasonal migration of workers from diverse backgrounds to the French vineyards during harvest season — a socio-economic peak in the rural calendar. Thousands arrive seeking quick earnings, often living in tents, vans, squats, or makeshift accommodations.

This documentary project is rooted in first-hand experience, capturing life beyond the labour: a raw, peripheral world marked by physical intensity, boredom, solidarity, and subversive living. Parties, raves, recycled food, punk aesthetics, and shared resistance shape a subculture that thrives on the fringes of “normality”.

Photographed between September and December 2023 in Médoc and the French Basque Country.
